Williams Warehousing & Logistics Announces Support for Kidney Care UK
North Wales logistics specialists, Williams Warehousing & Logistics is proud to announce its support for Kidney Care UK, reinforcing its commitment to making a positive impact in the community. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the charity’s work and vital funds that will directly support individuals and families living with this chronic disease.
Kidney Care UK is the UK’s leading kidney patient support charity. Every year, it offers advice, support, and financial grants and assistance to thousands of kidney patients and their families. Originally established in 1975 as the British Kidney Patient Association, Kidney Care UK has been supporting people affected by kidney disease for over 50 years.
With its 50-year track record, Williams closely aligns with the charity’s values of reliability, trust, and long-term commitment. Rather than a one-off sponsorship, this partnership involves ongoing fundraising and employee engagement throughout 2027 to support the practical, emotional, financial assistance offered by the Kidney Care UK.
“People are at the heart of every organisation, and helping those living with chronic diseases access the support they need is a cause we are proud to champion,” said Huw Williams, Director of Williams Warehousing & Logistics.
“The practical support Kidney Care UK offers directly to patients and families living with kidney disease in communities across the UK really stood out to us. It was a key reason for our decision to partner with the charity. Everyone here at Williams is committed to supporting this initiative and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
As part of its fundraising activities, Huw will lead a team on a sunrise summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) on Sunday, 8th November. Setting off from Llanberis at 2am, the team will follow the Llanberis Path, arriving at the summit in time to witness a spectacular sunrise over the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). As the national park has been designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the team hopes for clear skies and views of billions of stars overhead as they ascend the mountain.
To support the team as it takes on this inspiring challenge in aid of Kidney Care UK, suppliers, customers, and supporters can make donations via JustGiving. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help make a meaningful difference to the lives of those affected by kidney disease.
Laurie Cuthbert, Kidney Care UK’s Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, said:
“Thank you to the team at Williams Warehousing & Logistics for supporting Kidney Care UK as your chosen charity for 2027. With no government funding, we’re reliant on generous supporters to fund the vital practical, emotional, and financial support that we offer people affected by chronic kidney disease across the UK. Your support will help us ensure that no one faces kidney disease alone, and we’re grateful for you choosing to be part of our vital work.”
Williams’ support for Kidney Care UK demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its belief that businesses can play an important role in driving positive social outcomes. As well as fundraising, Williams is proud to promote the charity’s #BloodyAmazingKidneys campaign, which celebrates the amazing job our kidneys do in filtering our blood. The campaign also raises awareness of the impact that kidney disease has on the lives of millions of people across the UK.
